Privacy policy

The short version: the Orbit app collects no personal data — no accounts, no crash reporter, no in-app analytics or telemetry. This website does not load visitor analytics or advertising trackers. The rest of this page spells out where data exists at all.
The app
Orbit asks for two macOS permissions. Screen Recording is used to show snapshots of your windows, captured at the moment you summon the sphere; those captures are made locally, shown on your screen, and never stored or transmitted. Accessibility is used to read your open windows and raise the one you pick. Nothing about your windows, apps, or usage leaves your Mac.
License validation
When you enter a license key, Orbit checks it against our licensing provider, Keygen. The request contains your license key and nothing else — no device fingerprint, no email address, no identifier we invented. While a key is stored, Orbit rechecks it at most once a day, so a refunded or revoked key stops working. Until you enter a key, Orbit never contacts Keygen at all.
Update checks
Orbit checks for its own updates using Sparkle, the standard macOS updater. Once a day — starting at first launch, before any license exists — it fetches https://orbit.visionz.ai/appcast.xml, a small file listing the current version. That request sends no license key, no account, no device or system profile and no usage data; the server sees your IP address and which version of Orbit you are running, the same as any file you fetch from the web. If an update is available, the download itself comes from our releases on GitHub, so GitHub sees your IP address for that download.
Those are the only servers the Orbit app talks to: Keygen, once you have entered a key, and orbit.visionz.ai (plus GitHub for a download) for updates. The app has no analytics endpoint, no crash reporter and no telemetry of any kind. If that list grows, this page changes with it.
Purchases
Orbit is not on sale yet — the trial is free and there is nothing to pay. When licensing opens, purchases will be handled by Paddle, our merchant of record: Paddle will be the seller of record and payment processor, handling your payment details, billing address and tax. We will never see your card number. We will receive your email address and order details so we can deliver your license key and help with support. Paddle's handling of your data is covered by Paddle's privacy policy.
This website
This site is hosted on Render. We do not load visitor analytics, marketing pixels, or advertising trackers. Hosting infrastructure may process request information such as IP addresses to deliver and secure the site. See Render's privacy policy. Release download counts and voluntarily shared feedback help us improve Orbit; download counts are not counts of unique people or purchases.
If you write to support@visionz.ai, we keep the thread so we can answer you and follow up. That's all it is used for.

If this policy changes, the new version appears here with an updated date. Material collection changes are called out plainly at the top.
